Peer Review Process

IJRDO – Journal of Sports & Physical Education is a peer-reviewed journal. We view peer review as an opportunity to improve and enhance the quality of the research. Our process is meant to be fair, thoughtful, and supportive of all authors.

What Happens When You Submit Your Work

Upon receipt of a manuscript, it is first checked by the editorial team. This initial check allows us to judge the suitability of the paper for the subject of the journal and the minimum quality requirements. Once all is well, the manuscript proceeds to the review stage.

Expert Review

The paper is then distributed to seasoned reviewers who are well-versed in the area of discussion. Our peer-review process is blind, and this way allows us to make the evaluation objective and content-driven. Reviewers take their time to view:

  • The originality of the idea
  • How clearly the research is presented
  • The strength of the methods and results
  • The overall value of the study in sports and physical education

Feedback and Revisions

Authors get elaborate feedback after the review. In the majority of cases, improvement is suggested. This is a natural and beneficial step of the process as it allows the authors to perfect their work and make it clearer and more robust.

Final Decision

After revision, the editorial team goes over the revised manuscript and makes a final decision. This could lead to acceptance, request of additional changes, or even rejection where the paper fails to meet the standards as required.

A Process Built on Trust

We ensure that every submission is done with confidentiality and respect. The reviews are honest and constructive, and authors are assisted during the process. We strive to make the experience as easy as possible and make the research that we publish reliable and valuable.
